Books!
I was dashing through Chapters this evening and two books caught my eye: "The Code Book" by Simon Singh and "Timeline" by Michael Crichton. Both are in paperback, so they should be well priced.
Don Cherry's Rock'em Sock'em Video XII
Yup, we're up to number 12. I have the first 11, why not number 12 too.
Gap pants and shirts
Pants and shirts from the Gap for business casual wear. Again, a brick & mortar store with a very simple, clean and effective internet presence.
Lunar Lockout
Another great Binary Arts game. I know that I didn't finish ALL of the Rush Hour cards (another game you might want to get for your puzzle fanatic friends), but they got to be so damned hard...I promise to try and finish all the cards in this one.
Important! I know that this gift has already been purchased by my parents for me, so do not bother. But if there is another good game/puzzle that you see, feel free to grab it.
Doc Martin Shoes
I need a new pair, as my current ones are looking too old and worn in. Applying layers of shoe polish won't make a difference, as they will appear old, worn in AND polished.
If you visit this site, make sure you have Flash installed. It's a pretty cool site. But it tells me the closest store to buy Doc Martens is either Nepean, or Thunder Bay. Eek. Hopefully that's out of date.
PCWorks FourPointSurround FPS1000 Speakers
I have a new computer with some old, tired, crappy speakers. My new sound card is capable of 4 point surround sound, and these speakers are made by the same company. As an alternative, Future Shop is also selling these Altec Lansing speakers for the same price.
NHL 2001 (for the PC)
I know I already have NHL 2000, but that doesn't mean I don't want the newest version! The neatest feature: you can design your own team logos and jerseys.
Playstation 2
I don't really expect to get one of these for Xmas, but this is here just in case someone I know wins a big lottery. Some of the games are amazing and some are crappy. It also plays DVD movies (but not all of them perfectly), so it's not just a game machine. If I had to pay for one of these with my own money, I don't think I'd get one just yet. I need to see that it'll work for ALL DVDs that I want, and that there is more than just one game I want to play on it. Besides, I have my computer...it's an $1800 game machine!
